A two-storey rear extension and internal alterations to a detached family home which made full use the simplified planning process known as permitted development rights. The owners had recently bought the property and were looking to temporarily rent a property while the extension and renovations were undertaken. We developed the brief with the client to prioritise the speed of getting the project through planning and onto site as quickly as possible to avoid expensive rental costs. This process involved tailoring the space to meet the couple’s needs whilst keeping within the spatial limitations of permitted development.
